COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap @ Milos - taps a hazed bright gold with a sticky. rich white cap that lasts the drink. Aroma is gorgeous - big citrus rush with a bready sweet undertone and light fruitiness. Rich silky mouth feel, bight citrusy sharp character. Flavour has the big citra rush at the front but the bready sweet maltiness balances mid palate - clean bright finish with a hop kiss in the finish. Probably one of the best IPAs Ive sampled. It takes skill to brew with citras to get what I tasted here, but the star of this brew is the singular use of golden promise malt - its depth of flavor makes it the ideal malt for new world IPAs - artfully crafted brew.

May 26, 2015 - at Volo as "SMaSH Citra" ... Hazy light yellow, quite bright, minimal frothy white head. Pungent catty citrus aroma - amazing. Taste follows, but I got alcohol and fresh light cereal grain - mostly just catty - lovely. Average body, astringent and acidic with solid carbonation and a very long coating pithy/catty pungent finish - yowww!!

On tap at le mondiale 2011. Reminds me very much of the dubai just a little dialed back. Good citrus hops and a good maltiness that doesnt take away from the wonderful hoppiness. Very dry bitter finish, a good ipa.

Fresh keg at Bateu de nuit, tons of aroma, very citrusy and tropical. Flavor was similar, but with a bit more of pine and very dry finish. Very good.

Sample at Mondial 2011.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with a small head.
Aroma : Sharp herbal hops with crisp bready malts. Nice floral notes.
Taste : Leafy and citrusy hops. A bit herbal too. Great malt. Finish has notes of passion fruits and crisp leafy hops. Very hoppy.
Overall : Very hoppy for such a low abv beer. Sharp bitterness but lots of malt to balance it. Quite resinous. Very well made.

My Bottom Line :
Delicate herbs and citrus fruit spice up a well defined base malt building a wonderful dry and hoppy quencher.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam floats atop the nearly clear pale straw blond.
-The dry and crisp mouthfeel makes the entire package feel like a New World Pils. Very distinctive.
-The hop bitterness is sandy and resinous, leveled with the rest of the brews moderate intensity.
-This cask was impeccably tendered, which is rare in these parts.

On cask at Benelux.
