Slightly hazy straw colour. Lots of dry, hoppy stuff, along with coriander and that slightly floral Trou du Diable yeast. Richly hopped, very dry, herbal and refreshing. More brewers need a beer like this. Lubiere (13995) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 29, 2012
A hazed pale yellow ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a smooth herbal malt with light lemony notes, herbal hops, dandelions, very nice. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with herbal Czech hops, very nice, bitter and smooth. On tap at Vices et Versa, Feb. 24, 2012. jercraigs (10592) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2012
2012-06-09. Hazy pastel yellow, small white head. 3+ Pleasant flavour, mild pale malt core, very light spice and mild bitterness throughout. Sort of a lemon-lemongrass note, mild spice melange in a very dry finish. 7+ Aroma is similar, yeast and spice have a very light note of sweat socks which is dismissable after a brief encounter. Mild lemon, yeast. Wheat notes? Average palate is fairly carbonated. Enjoyable. On tap at Vices & Versa, Montreal MartinT (9961) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 4, 2012
My Bottom Line:mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 25, 2012
A tantalizing floral bouquet leads to a crisp cereal mélange, as citrusy fruitiness and grassy bitterness adorn a dry finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy whitish pale yellow.
-This tastes like a lower gravity variation of the Schieve Tabarnak.
-This is supremely drinkable, yet it is never low on flavor. The finish is as memorable as the aroma.
-This would be more than amazing if bottle-conditioned with a slightly higher (and fluffier) carbonation level.
-That is one awful name for such an inspiring (and inspired) brew...
On tap at Dieu du Ciel, St-Jérôme.
[4510-20120609] Tap. Mild smoky dry yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Dry cardboard lemongrassy yeast flavour has a long dry aftertaste. Medium body. It’s OK, maybe I’m not in the mood for it tonight. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

Pours very lagery, but with pretty good lacing. Doesn’t smell like much, kind of crisp malt, lager style. Pours with a good retaining head. A very bitter profile for a low-alcohol beer. Hops profile lasts a while. Almost tastes like a super low abv IPA. Palate isn’t too heavy though. On tap at Saint Bock.
(Rating #4127) Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 16, 2015
draft at vices et versas. A very light, extremely light body, faint yeast easters, (between an abbey single and a saison), then an abrupt finish. Barely a beer, JulienHuxley (5856) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 3, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Light yellow-green pour with smallish white foam. Very piney nose, light cereal, very grassy, totally hop forward. Taste is very bitter, not quite astringent but almost, you get that sort of overall impression you are biting into and ripping a chunk out of an unpeeled grapefruit. Palate is dry as heck, quite interesting though: refreshing and satisfying at once, they really get the most out of 3.8% Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 1, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Yellow with healthy haze. Webby lacing. Aroma is on the bland side with a natural corn/fruit loop character that is really distinct but as it warm matures to a dry citrus that reflects the lovely house yeast! Light body and a super dry finish with long, lingering herbal resins. Nice!
