Draft 10 oz pour at the Fish Brewpub, Woodinville. Dark cola brown pour with a thin fizz head. Toasted malt character dominating the aroma. Flavor is cool, lighter body, chocolate malt. A bit watery on the finish. Not as flavorful as I hoped, but still a decent Schwarz. luttonm (6749) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 23, 2017
Fish Tale, Woodinville. Lacing off-white foam, almost black body. Syrupy dark lager. Bitter red fruit. Fairly clean, fruity leather, some smoke. A bit sweet and cool. But nice profile. Kleg (403) - The Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 14, 2017
22 oz bottle. Pitch black pour with a beige head and decent retention. Light lacing. Dark roasted taste with minimal coffee flavor. Smooth and clean. Easy drinking.

Black. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, some fruit, dough, and light sourness. Medium bodied. Finish has lingering roasted malt. An overall clean profile. A nicely put together Schwarz. hershiser2 (3666) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 25, 2017
Bomber from Total Wine, West Richmond. Pours dark brown with an inch of tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts. Flavor is roasted coffee beans, grass, light ash. Fine, not outstanding.

Bottle. Pretty much black color, beige head. Roasty aroma. Taste is lightly bitter burnt espresso. Tasty. hayduke (5677) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 28, 2015
Shared with Strykzone on Facevbook Chat. In the glass it was dark brown near black with a tan head. Nose of burnt malts. Light to medium body. Smooth lager mouth feel. Flavor is the burnt malts, some fruit, coffee, chocolate, and earth. Some sourness appears. As it warms some nuts appear in the bitter finish. Quite OK but I could have done without the sourness.

Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. He in his camper in Idaho and I at home. Looks clear and very dark black with a little amber. A bumpy tan head. A lot of earthiness in both aroma and flavor. Fruit is citrus and the beer is spicy. Lots of malts here, too. Some of them are roasty. There could be something like oatmeal, too. My only negative is a persistent sourness that is off putting. Not enough strong positives here to put this over the top but it is a decent brew. From a bomber. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Malty nose. Nutty flavors. Light bodied. DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 1, 2015
Bottle, shared with Rockley. Stout-like appearance, with a nice blackened malt aroma and flavour, while maintaining a light-medium body with a crisp clean finish. Bold roast flavours but still maintaining the lager character. Excellent schwarz.
