Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 16, 2009
12 oz bottle from Bier Stein. Poured a very dark brown with a small tan head that faded quickly and left zero lacing. Aroma is basically roasted malt alone, maybe a slight hint of chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, light barley and some earthy hop. Beer got a little better as it warmed, despite the low abv. Not terrible, but not great either. However, excellent value for 95 cents for a bottle of it. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 21, 2009

12 oz bottle thanks to BrewDad. Pours a dark brown almost purple hue with a medium white head. The aroma is toasted malts, nutty and light fruit. The flavor is basically a battle between chocolates, toasted malts, dark fruit. Easygoing and light. Nice. bhensonb (15093) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours very dark amber with not much of a head. Smells bready. Near medium body with mild, frothy carbonation. Flavor is kind of chocolate over darkly roasted malt - not burnt though. Hasn’t got much malt sweetness. Clean. Finishes with chocolate.
