Slightly roasty malt with caramel and toast, perhaps a hint of coffee. A dark long finish with a bit of char. Hops are very light. SDalkoholic (2424) - Linda Vista, California, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle from Ashur Liquor: Created a tiny sizing of film for a head while the liquid was a dark glowing tea hue that was full of sediment that made it impossible to see through my pint glass. In the nose, there isn’t much going on other than a minimum amount of caramel malt while at the same time not even smelling like a beer. The flavor is boring and bland with no flavors at all worth mentioning but at least it was still drinkable. bkurtz (1134) - LITHUANIA - JAN 1, 2014

Poured to NB globe.
A: Pours a chocolate beer with little head development. Thin film of tiny bubbles, which are light graham in color.
S: Chocolate malts, dark grains. Hollow grainy. Little/no hop nose. Slightly creamy scent.
T: Yum! I was surprised by the nice toastiness of this beer. I admittedly had low expectations, which likely fosters my admiration, but this beer is nice. Light cocoa, malts, milky flavor. Touch of a metallic finish on this. As I take more his off this, I like it less. Has a bit of a burnt flavor as it warms. Almost a sour flavor in here.
M: Decent medium body with medium/low carbonation provides a effervescence I didn’t anticipate. Nice.
D: Very drinkable. Again, I was surprised by this beer, and would be happy to recommend to others.

Muddy dark brown. Chocolate is big. Med bodied and slight bitter hop. Slightly mild carbonation. Nice body throughout. Not as good as bayern dragon breath. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle @ home, courtesy of some chill trader bro. Pours a fairly clear reddish black appearance with a brown head. Fairly roasted malty, nutty, light apple fruity, caramel, toffee aroma. Caramel, roasted pecan, toffee, a touch smoky, light fruity flavor that finishes a touch sweet. Ok. tackjc (12) - - NOV 14, 2013
Overall OK, but a bit of a vinegar after taste. Probably wouldn't buy in volume. SamP01 (668) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Pours a dark cloudy brown head, a medium beige head some light lacing. Aroma and taste is of dark lightly toasted caramel malt, yeast and some grain flavors. A medium body with light carbonation. Finish is lightly toasted caramel malt, yeast and grain. Aroma and taste seem a bit mild for the style, but still an ok drinking brew. romulusnr (16) - Washington, USA - SEP 9, 2013
More bitter than I generally like my browns, kind of like a brown that wants to become a porter someday. Flavorful nonetheless. Light tan head. Rich dark color. Sweet and slightly bitter.
