3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark brown color. Smell is mild, some yeast. Taste is wheat, spice, some banana, a lot of hops for this style. Overall a decent beer.
Deep brown with a dickhead. Sweet malt, Caramell, very light wheat spice, a bit of earth, some chocolate in the background. Medium bodied. A sweet slightly bitter finish. Solid. hershiser2 (3205) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 11, 2016
Can from Total Wine, Gainesville, VA. Pours clear brown with an inch of beige head. Aroma is very light: roasted malts and that’s about it. Flavor is nutty coffee, browning leaves, toast. Not bad. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Draft pours brown with a off white head. Aroma of grains, chocolate and caramel. Taste is malty. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - OCT 27, 2016
Can. It pours a dark brown/cola color with a light tan head. The aroma is roasty with some notes of cocoa, plum and raisin. Maybe a hint of coffee, but I think it’s mostly the roasted malt. The flavor is fruity with more plum and raisin. Mild notes of cocoa and roasted malt in the background. The roasted malt comes through stronger in the finish with a hint of ashy bitterness. The body is light, but there’s some oily slickness on the palate that adds some depth to the strong flavors. It has a raisin bread-like malty backbone. A little sweet in the finish, but overall a pretty enjoyable take on the style. voyageurmike (435) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2016
12 oz can into a sampler glass, dark brown with short tan head. Hint of malt in the aroma, light body, little in the way of carbonation. Chocolate and toasted malt flavor, not much banana or clove noted. Mild malt finish with slight bitterness. Now I want to try a beer actually faithful to this style and compare.

12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Weizen Glass at 39°. Color is a deep dark brown with mellow carbonation and a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malt with a hint of smoke. Body is a lighter medium with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is roasted malt, a hint of dark chocolate and a little hop spice. After taste is clean with some bitterness coming in. Overall it’s a nice flavorful brew. cheap (5855) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2016
Can. Malty smellin dark beer. Taste is dark weizen. Perhaps a little more beefy than a mild dark weizen. Does not hide the alky well. As session continues there is some dark choco in there, just a little. Goes a little metallic on the finish. All this around room temperature. Went all the way to NC to find this beer, heheh. tsd08460 (1164) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - JUN 8, 2016

Mild aroma of bark berries. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Flavor was ok but not rich or dark like I expect in a good dunkel. Eh there are much better ones out there. alobar (3778) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 14, 2016
Pours dark chestnut brown with aroma of caramel, banana, and yeast. Chocolate, roasted malt flavor with some caramel and banana. Decent beer.
