Steffan (113) - WALES - AUG 30, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2016 Slight grassy aroma. Appearance clear golden yellow, lots of head at least two fingers that leaves a lacing through the glass. Solid but not overpowering carbonation, about right. Easy bitterness, some grain, quite medium bodied and malty. Hop finish comes through and leaves a citrus like bite. Thirst quenching and citrusy, only slight grain in the mouthfeel. Very good pilsner, up with the best from Germany.

Half liter pour in Gainsville. Filtered yellow tan with some faint green tones. Big steady, frothy, white head. Factory brewery aroma, old school with some peppery noble hops. Clean, with lots of smooth, creamy lager notes. Simple, but really nails the style. Easy drinking, bit not watery or insipid. Smooth perfect fresh yeast tones, so subtle and delicate. An excellent example of the style, World Class.

Apperance: The beer is a clear golden color with a large light head, which takes a few minutes to disappate leaving a constanct quarter inch head. Smell: Mild sweetness, hop notes, and a bit of spice. Taste: Very crisp and clean, flavorful malt notes, noble hops as well, earth/grass notes. None of that skunky flavor you may associate with other pilsners (ie heineken). It has a crisp bite at the end. All in all, this is an excellent example of a pilsner.

Translucent gold, thin white head, medium body, medium-high carbonation.

Aroma: fresh sweet pale wort.

Taste: fresh pale malt wort, herbal hop bitterness.

Hops are not exhibiting the typical floral citrus noble character. Seems more like a helles.

Dobry i gożki pils. Wysoka jakość chmieli i ta pełna gorycz jak na dobre piwo niemieckie przystało. Przejrzysta barwa i poprawne nagazowanie, piana tworzy trwałe ślady na pokalu. Piwo w sam raz do grilowego party

Poured a golden color, clear, big frothy white head. Aroma of grass and herbs. Flavor of grass, herbs, sulfur, metallic, and faint grains. Strongly hopped. Mouthfeel of moderate body for the style and a slightly acidic type of finish on the tongue. Nice stuff but not the best.

Sehr gut trinkbar
