Bottle. Golden, clear and not much of a head. There’s some malt but it’s has more grain in both its aroma and taste with a medium bitterness and a small sweetness. kwik-lime (1925) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2014
Floral aroma, earthy hops with a slightly watery palate. Acceptable session beer but rather boring. jjsint (3087) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2014
Cask @ Champion of the Thames, Cambridge. Dark gold/amber, tries to muster up a little bit of head. Aroma is grassy and vinous. The taste is bready and malty: sweet at first with a dry finish. Bitterness in the back of the throat jars against the otherwise lovely end to the sip. It’s ok but not all that memorable. dogbomb (1217) - ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2014
Bottle. Golden amber with a decent white head which lasts. Little bit of honey on a mostly malty nose - touch of lemon/grapefruit too. Full, malt-laden bitter mouthful. It’s a "proper" bitter, with a lot of bite. Some cereal and honey and lots of malt, but I’m mostly getting a metallic zesty bitter. Makes me pull funny faces, but a decent drop. s_hartshorne (2784) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2014
