3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Beer Emporium, Sandbach. Poured a golden colour with a large fluffy head that settled to last to the end. Aromas of soft toffee and caramel, mouthfeel was quite light and easy for a 9.0% ale. Taste was well balanced with little sweetness and a good bitterness. Would try again.

9.0% bottle. Cloudy amber beer. Decent frothy white head. Airy dry palate. Tangerine - orange nose. Slightly chalky malt. Bitter orange and tangerine. Sweeter orange before the dry finish. Nice flavour but over dry.
Bottle. Golden with a small head.Hoppy and well balanced considering its high strength. Slight taste of sulphur as is common with bottled beers from this brewery. Quite pleasant. Pudding (257) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2012

An amber beer with a soft soapy white head, which falls slowly and leaves some nice lacing behind. A quick swirl effortlessly raises the head to about a finger. The nose is of candied sugar, marmalade, brandy and just a touch of pepper. In the mouth you pick up rich malts, orange peel and pith. There is a perfumed taste that I find right at the back of my palate that tastes a bit soapy. This could be a bit of the hops. You can taste the alcohol; it comes across as a mix of brandy and cointreau and I rather like it. The carbonation is soft and the body is full. It finishes on the sweet malts and booze, leaving a lasting zesty orange taste and a hint of an abbey tripel. I’d happily have another. KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit as well as medium notes of alcohol, and malt. The flavor is very malty with strong notes of alcohol, spices, and bread, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a cloudy pale amber with a smallish white head. Rustic skewed hops in the nose - very British. Medium body, dry fruitiness and some yeast. Very dry and bitter finish. 110510
