Pours clear golden with a frothy, white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma contains malt, grain, hops, some wheat and cornflakes. It tastes light malty sweet and light grainy bitter; dry, grainy, crisp finish. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation. A bit German-like, nothing special.

Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with mild, hoppy notes. Mild, sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, complemented by some hoppy notes. Estery afteraste. Nothing special but a good thirst quencher on a hot day. 0.2cl from tap. I didn’t knew Leeuw Beer still existed, but appearantly Haacht brewery brought new life into it. Well, they shouldn’t have done that. It used to be an ok pilsener, now it’s just plain crap. Gangstergafje (1300) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2015
The beer looks like a simple pilsener. The color is a pale golden yellow. The beer pours a decent layer of white foam. For a pilsener, the foam is very creamy. The foam stays on the beer for quite some time. For a pilsener, I’m not disappointed. The smell is that of ordinary pilsener. A little bready, a little hops, not special at all. The taste is nice. There is a nice amount of hop in the beer. The taste is nice and fruity. Not bad after a long day of site seeing.
