COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Bottle: A cloudy yellowish orange color with a very small head. Scent reminds me of a old beer "sour". Flavor isnt bad. Semi sweet.. BOM 4

Hazy yellow coloured with an average white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate hoppy. Flavor of wheat, light citrus, and coriander. Refreshing, and average white beer.

Bottle. 11.2 fl. oz. An opaque, yellow straw color with big, foamy, white head. Aromas of orange, spice and wheat. Medium bodied with a soft texture and a fizzy, dry finish. Flavor is fairly sweet to start then rounded out nicely by refreshing sourness. Normally not a huge fan of the style but I liked this one.

A wonderful wirbier pours well and looks great. Sweet and light tasting of orange and lemon. A great summer beer. BOM club.

Appearance: pale blond color, semi-cloudy. Medium and white head, some rocky. Aroma: dominated by wheat smells, citric notes with reminiscences of lemon and oranges. Also, herbal and coriander touches, vanilla, coco and chamomile. Flavor: wheaty start, refreshing and with citric-fruity progress from curacao and hops that inject lemon, pineapple and peel-orange reminiscences. Spicy-herbal notes like coriander. Light dry final. Citric and wheaty aftertaste. Palate: light and medium body. Low to medium carbonation. Nice acidity and herbal touch. Refreshing beer.

330 ml. Blanche De Bruxelles version, bb 08/14/2008. Hazy pale straw-pear colored with a large head that settles into a lasting creamy ring and leaves sugary frosting all over the glass. Slight spicy lemon, banana-bubblegum, and grass aroma. Spicy citrus, cinnamon, banana, grass oil, and cracked wheat flavors meld well, with none dominating. Light body is watery, refreshing, soft, and dryish.

Pours a light orange color, generating a small head that tapers off quickly. It’s bright, may need your shades. Aroma is fruity, dominated by oranges with some bananas mixed in. First thing that stands out is a thin, watery mouthfeel. That is backed up by a citrus combination but the top flavors are certainly oranges and mango. It tastes like a semi sweet orange, with a bland flavor. There may be a dash of cinnamon spice in there but that may be a reach. It seems to produce a quick rush of a mango/orange citrus flavor following by a watery bland finish and aftertaste which is disappointing. It is refreshing enough but I was expecting more. This is also priced to be an above average beer and I feel it falls short of that.

Draft at Arena Bar and Grill in Wilkes Barre, PA, labeled as Blanche De Bruxelles. Pours a hazy golden with a white head, typical wit appearance. Aroma of spice and orange peel. Lighter bodied with some wateriness to the texture. Flavor of pale wheat malt, orange, lemon, and subtle spice. This beer made me think of urinal mints, don’t ask me why. The beer is just ok.

This was nothing too spectacular. I would try this again but not spend the money on a single.

Hazy amber with a fizzy white head. Aroma of spice, bread dough, citrus, bubble gum. Watery mouthfeel. Flavor is slightly citrus, spicy, but weak.
