Brown with a creamy lasting white head that drags some handsome lacings. Smooth & soft palate with a medium carbonation. Yeast, nuts, caramel & hints of dried dark fruits. Long end.... Great! yespr (44698) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2007
33 cL bottle. Pours dark murky brown with huge creamy light brown to slight grey head. Vague aroma, slight malty roasted with some minor fruity yeast notes. Sweet malty flavour with fruity yeast notes. Softly lingering into a slight bitter finish. janubio (841) - SPAIN - SEP 20, 2007
Chocolate colour with red hints when held to the light. A good reddish creamy head that fades soon, leaving some lace.Aroma is cherries, vanilla, dark fruits. Do I detect some tobacco? Sour flavor, taste of cherries, flowers, vanilla 3essence, dry and sour. LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 16, 2007
(33cl bottle). Dark brown beer with a big light brown head. Sweet, roasted, slightly fruity, and medium bitter. Nice but not great. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - SEP 11, 2007
Bottle, 33cl. Pours a nice dark brown color, with lightbroen head. The arome is fruity and spicy. Flavor is a little disapointing, could be more rich. The flavor is spicy and leaves the mouth pretty quick. Overall it is a good but nor impressing beer.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2007 Pours with a creamy, foamy head and looks rich. Suspended yeast signals the potentially nourishing qualities of the beer. Aroma is complex, spicy. Cinammon is most pronounced, but so is some currant, clove, cardamom, and chicory. These aromas carry over into the full-flavored abbey dubbel. It’s smooth and balanced in spite of the spiciness. The Floreffe dubbel leaves a strange bittery aftertaste of orange peel that is not offensive but not particularly pleasant either. The back of the throat senses sharp spice like ginger sensation. This is fairly highly carbonated beer too, which serves to usher the flavors into the mouth. A little salty too. Big yet mild. LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - AUG 20, 2007
Molto buona! Tra le migliori dubbel assaggiate finora. BeerBiker (1415) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2007
[Sampled in 2004.] Huge head and dark brown color. Sweet ad not so much bitterness as some others. Fruit, roast and alcohol and mediumbodied with a nice sweet finish. Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2007

Brussels-07. Very dark brown almost black colour with one finger of tan head. Aromas of caramel, plums, malt, chocolate and raisins. Sweet flavour with notes of caramel, fruit, roasty malts and finishing with plums. Medium body, low carbonation with a short finish. Nice abbey Dubbel.
