Parmenion777 (380) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2016 Pours a dark brown colour with a large beige head that quickly settled. A yeasty marmite aroma with some caramel malts and dried dark fruit. Creamy in the mouth, light roasted malt, caramel and marmite flavours, again prune fruitiness and with a dry light spicy bitterness in the finish.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 16, 2016
Almost opaque dark brown color, with a copper hue, and storming activity. Slightly frothy light brown 2-3 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of black liquorice, dark grains, plums, cherries, peach, herbal spices. Thick sugary feel of dark fruits with slightly bitter roasted malts. Slick and smooth almost full body with crispy carbonation. Strong finish, a little dry and vinous, lingering ester fruits, leafy spices, and a strong presence of liquorice. Lacks freshness being a little metallic. Feels a bit like a port, would serve this as an appetizer being very sweet. Good flavors, but nothing amazing, yet the aftertaste is quite nice. Overall good quality craft.

Pours dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is yeast, caramel, cinnamon, fruits, some toffee, light wood. Taste is fresh, fruity, grapes, anise, yeast, light caramel, some cinnamon. Easy to drink.

33cl swing top bottle. Klare rötlich braune Farbe, mittelgroße beige schaumkrone. Geruch nach roten Früchten, Karamell, leicht holzig. Geschmack süß malzig, rote Früchte, Kirschen, wenig Himbeeren, leicht hopfig, gut!

VDuquerroux (1946) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - JUL 24, 2016
Bottle, 33cL. Home. Brought back from the Namur beer festival. A dark brown beer with shining mahogany hues ; big off-white foamy head with a medium retention. Roast, licorice, anise, caramel note, herb, raisin. Medium sweet, round, warming baseline, light dry bitter fresh episodes. Medium good body, thin oily texture, average carbonation, dry refreshing spicy finish. Overall, a great dubbel ; this beer would do a great christmas ale.

Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - JUL 16, 2016
33cl bottle. Dark brown but clear with medium head. Aroma is very fruity, mostly dark and dried fruits like figs and plums but also apple, banana, raisins. Some cake with burned bottom and coca-cola. Strong carbonation and fluffy texture. The beer is medium sweet, dry like cooked fruits with clove and with no sugar. Aftertaste is earthy with almost like a delicately smoked plum. Finish is medium intensive though. Beer isn’t interesting at all but not completely wrong.

Bruin cola bruin bier met een goede witte schuim kraag. Ruikt mout, gist. Smaakt zoet, belgisch.

Ruikt ranzig. Smaakt niet best. Dus ja, matig bier. En nu nog 80 tekens opvullen

MelvinKalksma (1822) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 3, 2016

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and liquorice.

Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and liquorice.

This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Basically has three flavours and that is it. Still a nice double however, just never exceptional.

pityu (681) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 26, 2016
Bottle - Slightly hazy brown colour, medium beige head, good retention and fine lacing. Fine toasted malt aromas with toffee, nut, raisins, dried fruits, some rd berries, low herbal hops. Taste is sweet, fruity and nutty, hop bitterness smoothens into it. Medium body, smooth carbonation, sticky texture, toasted finish. Nice dubbel, but not my favourite.
