33cl bottle. Cuivrée-rubis, col moyen beige.

Bottle 0.33L. Dark brown body with a large, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with nice lacing. Moderate-to-heavy malty (caramel, toasted) aroma with notes of red fruits, plum, raisins and dried fruits. Moderate-to-heavy sweet and light bitter flavour; long-lasting sweet finish with some bitter note at the end. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation. Very satisfactory!

Bottle part of a tasting pack from Gatineau, Quebec. Pours an opaque deep brown colour with one finger of head. Aromas of plums, raisins, dark cherries and a whiff of liquorice. Taste matches the aroma with a hoppy finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

F: big, tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, liquorice, caramel, bit spicy, bit yeasty, aniseed, bit dried fruits. T: malty, bit chocolate, bit spicy, aniseed, liquorice, dark fruits, nothing really interesting, medium body and carbonation, very commercial example of the style, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.

Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has brown sugar, liquorice and dark bready malt. Taste is mostly malty and sugary with rye bread and liquorice notes. Light to medium body with high carbonation. Overall it's a really decent spicy dubbel although I don't really enjoy the mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2017 Molto bene, dubbel in stile. Color tonaca di frate, ampia schiuma bianco sporco. Corpo medio, alcol avvertibile, carbonazione medio. Al naso caramello, frutta secca. Anche al palato è dolce, con fichi, frutta secca, speziata.

tanel025 (267) - ESTONIA - OCT 14, 2017
Brown beer with beige head. Aroma is black bread. Taste is roasted bread, caramel. Slightly milky, sweet, no bitterness. Drinkable but nothing special. Too much bread taste.

sjogro (5116) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle relentlessly ticked at grandpa’s funeral. Dark brown with tan head. Dark roasted caramel malts. Rosemary, laurel, sweet licorice. Big sweet and moderate bitter. About medium body and soft fizzy carbonation. Very sugary sweet, strong herbal notes and a bit plain.

AnG_BrgNor (819) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 30, 2017
Bottle. Bown (Colabrown) with samall head. Aroma and taste is malty, dark dried fruits, bread and some metallic tones. A bit sour or tart aftertaste. Nothing special about this one.

ruigo (3080) - PORTUGAL - JUL 24, 2017
