UPDATED: NOV 29, 2005 Rerate: Ok now that I give it another whiff the chocolate is fantastic perfect ten on this beast. G-rat

If the nose on this bad boy were a little more complex it would be damn near perfect. Deep mahogony, flesh colored head. Billowy and cloying the head is magnificent. Frothy. Nose: Chalky like a Chimay bleu. Although this pervades it is accompanied by notes of bakers chocolate. Flavors explode on the palate. Velvety texture. Plums, aniseed, chocolate, rum. This is the best Belgian strong money can buy. If you find it you must buy it. G-rat

33 cl bottle. Pours very dark reddish brown with dense sand-coloured head. Aroma is loads of black fruit: blackberry, blackcurrant. Along goes a hint of black coffee. All very black. Mouthfeel is powerful, structured, round, with all flavours in perfect balance. Delicious.
