Kauge (1900) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 20, 2016
Bottle. BB 20.11.2017. Jumps out upon opening. Pours clear initially but cloudy darkish golden in the second pour. Heads massive, off-white, strong scattered lace. Pleasant aroma of grassy, citrus peel hoppiness, apple juice or cider, Belgian yeast. Tastes malty sweetish and appley sour, with grassy hoppy finish. A bit sticky on the palate, light to medium body, fine moderately active carbonation. Alcohols quite well hidden when cold, but starts to show inelegantly when it warms up. Overall still pretty nice, unpretentious and easy-going. Certainly not among the best strong Belgians, a bit too unrefined and harsh for that, but perfectly drinkable.

Bottle .0.33. Colore biondo torbido.

[backlog] 11-08-15 / bottle at Citadel Namur in Belgium. Strong malt, some caramel, yeast notes. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2.75/5

33cl bottle at home. Pours a clear golden colour with a huge frothy white head which slowly diminishes and leaves lacing. Lively carbonation on glass. Aroma of yeast, citrus, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, soft acidic with a soft bitter finish. Notes of yeast, spices, light citrus, vinous sourness. Texture is watery, medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Yeast, some caramel, golden/amber with a quite persistant white head, medium body, too carbonated for me, and a bit watery...there is many strong ale better then this.

The alcohol comes through strongly in this one with a refreshing frutiness coming through. Its bitter at the end without much depth. Some citrus peel flavour which ends with a dry hop finish. Its pretty decent, but not outstanding. If im drinking something as strong as this I want something a little bit better to savoir.

Bottle 33 cl.

Mathead (11) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUL 13, 2016
A fresh beer with slightly bitter dry notes of hops. Clear with strong carbinization and huge head like a foambath. Served in a high glass, ideally with a small glass for the leftover yeast. Fermented in the bottle, but clear if served right. Very refreshing.

Golden color with big head. Spicy floral perfumy hops, spicy yeasts, quite peppery. Dry and spicy, typical belgian. High carbonation.
