Previous sold as: "Leffe Bière de Noël / Kerstbier"

With its amber color, fruity and spicy bouquet, and its creamy foam, Leffe Biere de Noel is a beer full of character. Very expected during the holiday season, it continues the tradition of master brewers who kept their best barley and hops to brew once a year. Leffe Biere de Noel makes your aperitif a moment of intense flavor.

One of many bottles received for Christmas. Pours hazy brown/red with a small, frothy, off-white head. The aroma contains clove, licorice, caramel, yeast, sugar and bread. It tastes medium malty/sugary sweet with dough notes and light spicy bitter; short, bready, yeasty, bit metallic finish. Medium, almost light, body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. I didn't expect much and, well, I got what I expected.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2018 Une couleur cuivrée, avec un fil col de mousse. Une bière agréable au gout, limpide en gorge, aux parfums et arômes épicés.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear brown with a white head. Malty, red fruit aroma with some spices. Typical sweet, rotted fruit taste most Leffe beers have. Not as bad as it sounds but something is off here.

Unashamedly biased towards cinnamon and the accompanying spice that is featured in many winter themed beers and this comes with a deep amber colour and a texture that is thick without feeling heavy. I can't wait until next winter to sample this again.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear dark amber with medium, frothy off-white head. Aroma: nutmeg, clove, banana, sweet malts. Taste: pretty high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of sweet malts, some caramel, ripe banana and some nutmeg. Palate: medium bodied, sticky texture and medium carbonation.

Pours a dark amber/red with an off white head. Aroma is banana, cinammon, sweet. Taste is very sweet up front, strong cinammon, sweetness carrying throughout, some banana, spice, ending with the typical belgian yeast aftertaste with more spice. Medium bodied, medium carbonation Fantastic! One of the better belgians I've had to this point!

Bottle. I like this. A lot of caramel with a hint of spice. A bit thin maybe but very quaffable. Far better than a standard leffe.
