Nut-brown beer pours with minimal bright red cast. There is a lot long-lasting fine foam. The smell is malty, roasty and slightly acidic. Starts with lots of caramel malt, pleasantly sweet in the background. The finish is very cloying, slightly fermented fruit. Very good beer, but tastes much too much like the Leffe Brune.

10/06/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 1/04/2011 (2011-256) Thanks to Geers for the free bottle (it’s true I would never have given any money for this) thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Completely clear red brown beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable and adhesive. Aroma: caramel, some citrus fruits. MF: good carbon, light to medium body, bit watery texture. Taste: caramel, some malts, bit of citrus. Aftertaste: little bitter, but watery. Some mocha and alcohol. OK, have to admit it’s not undrinkable, but it’s pretty watery and not a Christmas beer by far.
(33cl bottle dated best by 4-15-11 thanks to bu11zeye) clear orange, few bubbles. Nose of rye, candied citrus. Taste of orange, maple and a bit under-carbonated. Koelschtrinker (20396) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 17, 2011
Solide! 9/11/11/11/8/11

6 Sweet bananabread aroma, some butter on that.
4 Rich red, self-supporting tight head.
6 Cakey, caramelly and buttery. Not bad at all. Maybe a touch sweet, but forgivable for a christmas beer.
3 Sweet sugary palate, pleasant carbonation. Very simple sweet finish with some cut mixed peel and very emasculated hops.
12 Lacking real character, but certainly not actually bad in any way. As a mass-produced product, this actually good.
Bottle courtesy HenrikSoegaard. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are dark fruits, yeast, malt, nuts and hops. shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Bottle. Sweet toffee malt and dry cherry aroma. Clear chestnut color with large tan head. Sweet toffee malt flavor with light bitter/astringent finish. Light body. Nice beer but pretty light. 77ships (9827) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 15, 2011

: got the last bottle at the store, red fruit, brown sugar, minor spices, some liquorice, bit like a fruiter & simpler Leffe Brune, too thin/light for Christmas beer, not really impressive, mostly a marketing
Thanks to Morko for sharing this! Clear amber-brown-red body. Sweet nicely fruity nose, malty. Pleasant, but I can’t think of better descriptors. Dry sweet malty taste, slightly bitter, typical Leffe spicy notes. Drinkable stuff, even if it smells better than it tastes. txspartan (1080) - Berchem, BELGIUM - FEB 27, 2011
I guess I expected too much from a Leffe Christmas beer. It didn’t quite deliver.
