With its amber color, fruity and spicy bouquet, and its creamy foam, Leffe Biere de Noel is a beer full of character. Very expected during the holiday season, it continues the tradition of master brewers who kept their best barley and hops to brew once a year. Leffe Biere de Noel makes your aperitif a moment of intense flavor.

33 cl bottle. Amber colored pour with medium sized head. Fruity, caramel, toffee and cherry aroma. Light sweet, malty, pleasant fruity finish. I enjoyed this. I can drink a lot of these this holiday season.

330ml bottle BB 08 Nov 2017. Very clear ruby red with well formed beige head. Dark fruit aromas - raisins, cherries, plums, also spicy belgian yeast phenolics, caramel. Taste is quite sweet - plums, cherries, raisins, coriander, cloves, toffee. Medium to full bodied, acidic prickle, slight astringency. Solid if not spectacular winter seasonal.

Bottle, 0.25l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Clear dark amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, spices and yeast. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, follows by toasted and fruity notes, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is medium grassy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Dreamin’ of Christmas...

Clear ruby beer, a tad sweeter and not as strong as the typical Christmas beer. Hints of sweet caramel and anise.

Bottle from saveur-biere.com advent calendar. Nose is overripe banana, floral. Palate is grapes, malty, hoppy aftertaste. Decent.

Bouteille 25cl. Arômes de cannelle et d’épices. Un peu trop chimique à mon goût.

A decent drink, but I obviously expected more to be honest. I really like some of Leffe products, this one was pleasant but I had too high expectations I guess. Christmas beer means Bush de Noel or Samischlaus to me, strong beers, almost whine-like. This one is way softer, but still different enough to worth a try. A nice clove aroma, with a hint of cinnamon, nothing impressive but cool enough to be APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Bottle. Oxidized both in aroma and flavour, which is a very unpleasant surprise in macrobeer like this. Other than that there is moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, a balanced beer. Mostly malt centered with caramelly toasted character. Also quite light spiciness, cinnamom, star anise. Good except for the oxidation.

Myonlyvice (305) - DENMARK - JAN 18, 2017
Reddish brown with a big head. Some lacing. Malty with quite a bit of ripe fruit and sweet spice. Balances on the sweet side but is still easy to drink ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
