"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a connoisseur beer that is easy to drink."

Bottle. The wife picked up a 18 pack of Belgium beer from Costco and it had a sixer of this in it. This stuff is being marketed like crazy lately. Pours a pale yellow gold with thin disapearing head. Aroma is sweet and malty like a crappy pale lager but has some hints of spice and yeast. Flavor is much improved over the nose and comes with a fair amount of sweetness but improved with a peppery and spicy finish with hints of honey and faintly perfumy hop. A fizzy and light mouthfeel help things seem more "belgian" than the taste alone would imply. Just enough dryness in the end to cause another drink but a licking of the upper lip gets you all honey malt again. Flawed in my opinion, but not bad.

On tap Boise Flying Pie. this brew pours out a light goldish topped with a white head. A nice aroma of yeast and spice. tast was pretty good. I picked up some more of that spice along with some sweetness. Not a bad Belgian.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow (blond) with a medium white head and sweet aroma. The taste is sweet malt with hints of caramel, spices, vanilla, honey and hop. A medium spicey and later on hoppy finish. Pretty good!

This is a very solid Belgian Ale. I like the lower alcohol content, combined with the overall quality of this brew. The aroma has hints of floral, citrus, and banana. The appearance is golden, clear, and frothy - very nice head and lacing. The palate has a medium body, is creamy and lively, and has a nice, long finish. Think Ill crack another one!

330ml bottle. Clear gold coloured with a decent, but short-lived, white head. Aroma had plenty of sweet malt with some spice. The flavour was predominantly sweet with a warming alcohol finish. Ok.

Big rocky white head that sticks to the side of the glass like melted marshmallows, crystal clear golden body with a stream of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is hidden by the head, but has a little bit of an earthy essence to it with a bit of sweetness. As head drops and beer warms, some yeastiness comes out. No esters. A slight touch of spice for faint bubblegum. Flavor begins with a sugar sweet at the tip of the tongue. As the beer moves back over the tongue, the carbonation picks up to add bitterness to the profile. Finishes fairly dry with that tongue tip sweetness lasting a bit longer than anything else. Hop bitterness becomes more present as it warms, but again accentuated by the carbonation. Speaking of carbonation, it has a definite bite to an otherwise soft beer. Mouth feel is medium and smooth. Although, there is a slight harshness of astringency that lingers.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, pale straw-colored gold. Head is active at pour, but dissolves to a thin cap quickly. Good lace on this one. Ripe apple aroma, just slightly tinged with spice. Flavor can be called middle-of-the-road Belgian, but its very friendly and approachable. Theres a sharp fruity snap, some alcohol warmth, and the distinctive yeasty touch on the palate. Im not a huge fan of Belgian beer, but am exploring the style again after a number of years. Tastes change over time, so its always good to go back outside your lines once in a while.
