"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a connoisseur beer that is easy to drink."

Pours a clear dark golden with a thin wispy white head. Aroma of sweet Belgian pale malt and lots of fruity banana and strawberry. Body starts with a viscous malty sweetness balanced with some peppery coriander spice. A nice, smooth and enjoyable Belgian ale.

Eye-pleasing orange/gold liquid with a substantial head comprised of largish bubbles. Scents of lemon, nutmeg and alcohol. Rich palate and flavour, with sensations of orange peel, malt and ginger. Quite likeable.

Another thanks to Redlight. This beer takes me back to Toronto last year. I was attending a conference and, as people at conferences are want to do, I found myself at the hotel bar, drinking a lot. I had my share of domestic Canadian brews, which tend to be a little more full-bodied and flavorful than their American counterparts (but not much so). Then I saw the tap handle for this. Even it was named something other than Leffe, I would have detected that it smells very Belgian, particularly like a certain Trappist ale that was recently defeated in a blind taste test against an American counterpart. But I digress. It is certainly malty with a lot of nuts, fruit and candi sugar. Creamy on the palate and exceedingly drinkable. I partook of quite a few goblets at that hotel bar and Im remembering why.

Bottle: Pous a dark gold with a thin white bubbly head. Strong fruity aroma giving way to a woody malt. Full malty flavour. Bitter fruity towards the end. Mellow spiciness. Very nice, and it came with its own goblet.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2006 Bottle, 750ml. A copper-coloured pour with an average diminishing head. A fruity aroma with banana, peach, honey and yeast/dough evident. The taste is somewhat sweet with alcohol noticable but not overpowering. Hints of banana, peach, cherry and spices. Light to average carbonation. A nice malty, hoppy, fruity finish with some acidity and bitterness. Very nice.

Pours yellow gold with a fruity, malted nose. Tall white froth w/ perfect little Champagne bubbles. Light, clean, refreshing, smooth as silk, and fruity with a slight tartness preceeding the fruit. Finish is long a flavorfull. A complex brew yet easy to identify. Overall: I highly recomend this brew. The effers are not so bouyant as other ales in this genre (I like that about it).
