"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a connoisseur beer that is easy to drink."

A co-worker of mine found a bottle of this in his basement from his trip to Europe in the mid-90's. The date on the bottle said 12/97, so this has aged in his dark basement along with a small bottle of hoegaarden white for about 6-7 years. He was willing to trade me these beers for a bottle of my homebrew. I wasn't sure who got the better deal until I tried it. Suprisingly, this beer was still intact. It poored amber colored with a little head that quickly disappeared. The lacing on the glass was significant and the aroma was of licorice and pepper. The medium-bodied mouthfeel led to a taste that was predominantly licorice with a fruity, tingly-sweet finish. I have never tasted a fresh bottle of this beer, but when I do I will re-rate. It was just interesting to try an aged belgain.

My go to staple beer. Often available on offer in the supermarkets and I always like to have in the house. A typical if slightly sweet Belgium blonde.

Aroma is very strong cloves, malt, vanilla, raisin, Appearance is clear dark gold with a white head. Taste is sweet and yeasty, caramel and raisins. Palate is smooth, creamy, very fine and high carbonation. Overall a typical Belgian but too sweet and caramel for me.

Kolor: Ciemne złoto, klarowne. Piana: Biała, drobne pęcherzyki, długo się utrzymuje. Zapach: Goździki, pomarańcze, przyprawy, kwiaty. Pachnie przyjemnie. Smak: Na wstępie lekko cierpkawe, pźniej pojawia się słodycz - nuty chlebowe, owocowe - banan, brzoskwinia. Goryczka symboliczna, Wysycenie: Średnie w stronę wysokiego, OK. Opakowanie: Zgrabna etykieta, niedokładny skład. Uwagi: Warka 28.11.17 Przyjemne, poprawne, oferuje to czego można oczekiwać po stylu.

Drank this beer at Anne Walens house with Dad whom helped me rate this beer. We both agree we could drink several and like that its a bit lighter Belgiun then some of its counterparts.

Pours rather clear, dark gold, almost amber. Full aroma, desserty and malty; vanilla, raisin notes. Flavor is vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, with bready body; a bit overly sweet, and metallic in the finish. Palate is creamy. I wouldnt call this a top-notch beer, but theres plenty of flavor and character to recommend it.

Quality beer that can be enjoyed at the fireside in front of a log fire. A warm comforting beer tasty without being overpowering
