Strong yeasty aroma, hint of leaves. Clear dark brown colour with frothy head. Fine carbonation, great head retention. Sweet and oakey, notes of vanilla, caramel, raisin.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2017 .33l bottle, poured a mostly clear amber beer with thin creamy offwhite head. Persistence is great: after finishing the beer the head maintained, nice lacing aswell. Aroma is malty, hints of caramel, brown sugar, candy sugar, citrus, orangepeel. Taste is bittersweet. Strong alcohol taste and burn. Hints of brown sugar and caramel. Nice herby touch of korianderseeds which conpliments the beer really good. Body is medium to thick, with low carbonation which is not unpleasant. Overall great well balanced strong ale.

Очередной Эль от бренда Leffe. Запах на удивление сильно отдает хмелем. Пьется оно очень тяжело, даже для крепкого эля. Вкус сухофруктов, карамели и хмеля. Послевкусие более фруктовое c горчинкой.

wozap (983) - Węgorzewo, POLAND - OCT 3, 2017
Butelka do 30.07.2017. Miedziane, klarowne, piana złamana biel, średnia, trwała, sowicie oblepia szkło. Aromat umiarkowane słodkie czerwone owoce, nuty kolendry. W smaku owocowość, duża przyprawowość, nieco pomarańczy, długi wytrawny finisz. Średnie nasycenie.

Bottle. (Brief tasting notes and rating from old records) - Sweet treacly, very malty with balancing hop bitterness. Too sweet. (Backlog)

jjsint (3434) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 24, 2017
Bottle from the Magnolia Belgian Bar and Bistro, Keswick. Reddish brown, hazy, with a spotty white head. Chocolate cherry, candy sugar, raisins, burnt toffee and soft citrus all waft up in the tempting aroma. Taste is sweet but not without an earthy hop biter kick midway through the sip. Full boozy finish. Surprised at how good this is.

pleispleis (142) - Maccagno, ITALY - SEP 22, 2017
bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma media grana beige persistente, color mogano limpido, al naso malto banana spezie lieviti belgi, in bocca malto caramello chiodi di garofano zucchero di canna, lieve tostato, carbonatazione decisa, medio corpo, l’alcool è ben bilanciato, secca con amaro deciso lungo nel finale. La Leffe non delude mai. 22.09.17

Aroma is sweet and malty, with caramel, brown sugar syrup, a bit of liquor, alcoholic spices. Taste is sweet, carbonation low and it has a medium body. Malt sweetness, nicely spiced with coriander, alcohol burn, burnt sugar. Nice.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2017 Bevuta il 19/08/2017 @CaffèDelTeatro in Biella. Forte odore di caramello. Colore ambrato, molto limpida.
