bottle, 33 cl at home. Beautiful ruby color. Compact head. Balanced carbonation. Sweet, with a touch of sour and mildly bitter finish. Fruity. One of my favourite leffes!

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 Larnaka 23/7 2017. 33 cl bottle from Alpha Hypermarket at the outskirts of Larnaka. The usual Leffe design with a purple stripe. Pours clear amber with big yellowish head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Moderate Lacing. Aroma is earthy and with notes of humid cellar. A little caramel and toffee. Fairly sweet with a candy-ikke quality. Medium carbonation and quite thick, sluggish palate. Flavor is heavy sweet without very much bitterness present. Aftertaste is sugary marcipan with some lingering boozy alcohol. A very sweet bomb of a beer. Very fulfilling - and I am quite glad that I only got a small bottle.

0.33 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, best before January 2019. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, rather spicy, yeasty and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, coriander, vanilla, orange peel and raisins. Very sweet, malty, yeasty, spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, coriander, orange peel, vanilla and raisins, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather spicy, yeasty and slightly warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Doesn’t taste bad, just too sweet and unbalanced. Still a decent sipper though.

czlowiekwiadro (985) - POLAND - JUN 26, 2017
zapach dość słodki, owocowy, morele, brzoskwinie, odrobina czerwonych owoców, lekko winny, słodkie, przyprawowe i drożdżowe nuty w tle, do tego wyraźne, ale przyjemne nuty alkoholowe - trochę jak brandy albo porto. kolor brązowomiedziany, klarowny, piana w kolorze lekko złamanej bieli, bardzo obfita, drobna i trwała. w smaku pełne, karmel, przypieczony chleb, biszkopty, lekka rodzynka, lekko wyczuwalny alkohol, trochę przypomina koniak, lekkie nuty przyprawowe. dobrze ułożone i okrągłe, lekko grzeje w usta i przełyk. goryczka średnia, nie dominuje, alkoholowa, karmelowa i przypraowa. nasycenie wysokie.

NiklasT (39) - SWEDEN - JUN 23, 2017
Dark red/brown and clear. Aroma fruity (apples, figs?).Taste fruity and some yeastiness, well balanced with the sweetness. Taste dissappears quickly, though.
