Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom Ls place. Thanks Shmupi. BBD 02/12. Slightly hazy copper with beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of candy and milk chocolate, some graininess, creamy. Very alcoholic flavor, grainy and sugary, notes of caramel and honey. Lively carbonation, medium-bodied. Too old.

At bar Viriato, Sevilla. On tap, in leffe glass. With Viriato burger. At first it seems soft and nice, but in the long run you get a bit tired of it sweetness and the alcohol makes you a bit dizzy. In Spanish this is called Leffe Roja. Only on tap

Keg @ De Kuppe, Brugge. Called Printemps Lentebier. Clear cherry-red colour with a small bubbly head. The cherry is evident but light and its a fairly refreshing fruity beer with its strength not really evident.

Tasted as Leffe Rossa in Venice in 2004 and as Leffe Bire de Printemps / Lentebier when it was put on the Belgian market under that name in 2011. Perfectly equal, off-white, creamy head, light amber colour, clear with calm sparkling. Pasteurized smell, caramelly malts, bit nutty, molasses, meat broth, biscuit, tulips, tomato, mango, smoked bacon. Caramelly taste, slick with rather thin body, floral and honeyish, sweetish, strongish carbo, fairly straightforward and boring like the other Leffes. Slight hop bitterness in the finish as well as badly hidden alcohol. Another industrial, dead AB InBev product.

Een bier met een beetje een speciale smaak, sommigen zullen dit lekker vinden, maar ik vond het niet zo goed.

iguana cantina in venice. Rosy Reddish brown ale with a good off white head and good lacing. Banana and other fruit on the nose. Taste is slightly sour and bitter, but quite sweet too. Carb is slightly prickly with medium body. Good.
