"Hoogwaardig belgisch blond bier, meesterwerk van de meesterbrouwers van Leffe".

"High quality belgian blond beer, masterpiece from the masterbrewers at Leffe". Refined bitterness and delicate hops aromas. Charles Nouwen, brewmaster of Leffe, traveled the world in search of the best hops. Whitbread Golding Hops is grown in the Poperinge region of Belgium. Leffe Royale Whitbread Golding is the original recipe for Leffe Royale, launched in 2012. Its delicate bitterness with citrus and resinous notes, reminiscent of that of banana or vanilla, as well as flowery aromas define this exceptional beer.

Bottle. Amber colour, crystal clear. Bit unky stuffy nose. Hops, autunny leafy old, caramels, dry toffee on nose. Med bodied, bitters, malty old socky finish. Ok.. Sort of. Dont like the old malty feel here, and Im guessing it dont matter how fresh the bottle be. Feels bulky clean. Like thw belgy touch tho.

33cl bottle on 27-Feb-2016, poured into a long stemmed tulip glass. Golden colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of yeast, grass and malt. Sweet bread flavour, banana, malt and caramel. Some clove, spices. Very similar to the blonde ale. Fruity, just a little stronger. Nice though.

Bottle from Supermarket - Color: clear golden blond beer with high carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: caramel malt, honey, bread and yeast. Taste: medium body with caramel malt and really sweet taste. Honey notes. Balanced with herbal hops with still sweet taste. Not well balanced. Difficult to enjoy and to drink. Aftertaste: caramel and alcohol. Not really interesting.

Golden pour. Sweet Belgian malt aroma. There is a touch of herbal hop aroma on the nose with some light banana and apricot yeast estery notes. A touch of woodiness on the finish with a touch of soft sweetness. It’s not unpleasant but nothing really stands out about it either.

Smells like a typical Belgian ale, only not as potent. Pours a dark gold. Head that lasts to the end. Taste is that of a Belgian double, only not as sweet and with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Right amount of carbonation. Overall I was happy with this beer, although I will not be going out of my way to purchase in the future. I have one cellaring right now, so we will see in a few years. Taster at Amagerbro Ølfest 2016. Low fluffy lasting white head. Clear amber body. Milld fruity grassy aroma and flavor with spicy notes and a good deal of alcohol on top of it all. Low carbonation, long finish.

McNeillR (2336) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 6, 2016
Stern golden, fairly greasy looking haze. Soft ringed head. Nose is big bready spicy. Initial taste is a rich melony sweetness, brown sugar and lemon juiced. Carbonation is stern and mouthfeel crisp and soft dusty sticky. Finishes lean creamy icing sugar and lingers very light sweetness.

Bottle fae Citizen Brock, Pig Out Tasting.

GlasgowTAD (2008) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 6, 2016
Pours golden yellow with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is grassy and diacetyl. Taste is slight grassy, slightly buttery, malt sweet.n
