COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Hoogwaardig belgisch blond bier, meesterwerk van de meesterbrouwers van Leffe".

"High quality belgian blond beer, masterpiece from the masterbrewers at Leffe". Refined bitterness and delicate hops aromas. Charles Nouwen, brewmaster of Leffe, traveled the world in search of the best hops. Whitbread Golding Hops is grown in the Poperinge region of Belgium. Leffe Royale Whitbread Golding is the original recipe for Leffe Royale, launched in 2012. Its delicate bitterness with citrus and resinous notes, reminiscent of that of banana or vanilla, as well as flowery aromas define this exceptional beer.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2012
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a dense and lacing white head. Sweet fruity, yeasty nose. Medium body, rich sweet malts, a little spice, sulphur and yeast. Your standard strong Belgian ale - but straight and well made. 130612

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small white head. Dry phenolic, spiced and peppery. Bitter, phenolicand dry. Light caramelish malty. Bitter and dry finish.

MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear blond colour with a nice, white head. Smells very belgianny, bready yeast and some sweet malt tones. Flavour has a bit sour beginning with a sweet body and aftertaste. Nothing special going on here, just another Belgian blonde.

Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - JUN 9, 2012
Dark golden coloured beer with a good sticky head. Malts, caramel and a lot of spices... blind tasted and just knew it was leffe...

Very huge and very dense, stable off-white head, fed by very lively carbonated metallic pale-copper beer. Hops & coriander, some toasted malts. Aroma’s of garden herbs & spices. Smells young, as with active yeast, which constitutes an C.I.T., as the beer is dead-filtered. Iron in the head! Spicy-yeasty flavours, supported by very toasted malts. There is a quite present dryish bitterness, but it appears more spice- than hopinduced. Toasted malts get sticky-sweet and cloying warming up. Quite slick, bit sticky, well-carbonated, medium bodied. Typical AB-InBev (or any other giant): technically reproachless, yet utterly unenjoyable.

Bart (2936) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle @ home from local supermarket. Light hazy darker blond coloured beer. Medium carb and a large but diminishing white head. Quite yeasty slightly yeasty and dence aroma. Full light creamy palate. Finish is again rather sweet yeasty and slightly fruity hinted. Ok beer, but I do not see the addition in the current Leffe product portfolio.

Bottle from Delhaize in Brussels. Dark golden bdoy with tall fluffy head. Nose is yeasty, spicy and a tad malty. Taste is malty and spices with some sweet in the prickly finish. Reminds me of Leffe Blonde but a bit more subdued and creamy. Certainly an enjoyable beer but will take getting used to. Not sure this will go far considering the range of Leffe already available.

Good new session beer from Leffe. Appears not as sweet as the blonde. I wonder how it would taste au fut. Also totally besides the point tihe label appears really good.

Sweet yet irony aroma. Ditto irony flavour. A little richer in flavour than Leffe blond.
