"Hoogwaardig belgisch blond bier, meesterwerk van de meesterbrouwers van Leffe".

"High quality belgian blond beer, masterpiece from the masterbrewers at Leffe". Refined bitterness and delicate hops aromas. Charles Nouwen, brewmaster of Leffe, traveled the world in search of the best hops. Whitbread Golding Hops is grown in the Poperinge region of Belgium. Leffe Royale Whitbread Golding is the original recipe for Leffe Royale, launched in 2012. Its delicate bitterness with citrus and resinous notes, reminiscent of that of banana or vanilla, as well as flowery aromas define this exceptional beer.

Leffe master Brewers need to go back to the drawing board if they think this is their ultimate beer. Had it for a promotion celebration, it was as tasteful as a regular Leffe Royale with extra hops. Save your money and just get a regular Royale, the only fancy thing us the bottle.

33cL capped bottle poured into Leffe glass at restaurant in the old medieval city (La Cite) behind the walls in Carcassonne. Not much selection in this touristy area but I am happy to try some Leffe I have never had... cold be worse. This definitely seems like a competitor beer for Duvel. So, I will just compare it to Duvel. Its a little sweeter, less hop presence, no yeast spice, and not sharp. Despite that, its a decent Belgian Golden strong. Not overly estery, not overly strong alcohol presence. I can see myself drinking this over the typical available beers in similar touristy French town (and way better than the few macro choices in most of Catalan

About as close to a Trappist without being one. Great color, on mine the head died quickly but it may have been the pour. Clean crisp, lovely! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
