BOBANDDOUG (61) - Belleville, Illinois, USA - JAN 30, 2008
Poured from a 33cl bottle, thanks to a friend at AB/Inbev. ( THANKS!). Very hazy yellow, with small flecks of sediment. Thin, but sturdy head that died quick. Left a nice lace. Aroma. Big malty, fruity, clove. You can almost "smell" the ABV. Taste. Citrus, slight clove, bananna hit you right away. Almost a German Dunkel feel, until you swallow. Then the ABV warms your mouth, throat, and innards. This is an easy big ABV beer to drink. Flavor, and feel are wonderful. As with the Leffe 9 degree I just had, I sure wish Inbev would turn these loose on us stateside!

Uit fles. Mooie goudgele kleur. Geur niet al te aanwezig (jammer), maar de smaak is erg goed. Citrus, ook zoete zachte smaak. Prima.

Yellow-orange turbid beer with fine white head. Quite fruity aroma with orange and peach while still retaining a dominant malty backbone. Very rich and flavourful and also with a strong body. Very good drinking experience.

Una Leffe fàcil de prendre... atenció amb formatge cru d’ovella desapareixen els graus que té! Al club de tast de l’Olut

A very good Industrial beer. The color golden is typical of an Abbey Tripel !

Bottiglia.

330ml bottle from Naples supermarket pours golden amber with foamy off-white head. Aromas of wheat, artificial fruit and spices. Flavours of grains, sugar syrup, honey, malt, banana, spices and alcohol. Nothing overly complex or deep here. Artificial sweetness transitions to a slightly bitter unpleasant finish.

33 cl bottle from Tosano. Orange color, cloudy, big white head, expansive, lacing. Fruity smell. Aroma is very fruity, ripe yellow fruit (banana, pear, apricot, peach), orange peel, lot of maltiness, sugar, juice, alcohol/solvent, light spice (almond, vanilla, clove) and yeast. Taste is sweet, thin hops profile so very light bitterness. Creamy texture, foamy, fluffy, full bodied, average carbonation, smooth alcoholic finish. Quite complex indeed and quite good, even though spices should not have been added maybe. Nice.

Aroma agradável e boa formação de espuma. Coloracao alaranjada e carbonatação boa

Fluffy white head left a good cover on a hazy orange coloured, still body. Sweet citrus, yeasty & fruity aroma. Medium to full mouthfeel, Airy on the palate. Fine carbonation. Leaves a sticky feel on the lips. Dry. Tastes as the aroma, sweet citrus to the fore, candy sweets & apricot followed by a more bitter citrus back & long yeasty finish.
