Dark amber, almost brown in colour. Aroma is a little sweet and malty. Flavour is a good balance of sweetness, fruit and malt. The alcohol does dry out the top of the mouth somewhat but the texture is smooth and easy to drink overall.

[Sampled in 2003.] A that time one of my favorites with intensive notes of heavy fruity yeast, caramel, alcohol, spices, fine head, muddy color and my favorite Leffe-brew.

I surprisingly greatly enjoyed this one. This Leffe displays a fair light reddish brown pour with a fair, belgianesque off-white head. Its aroma somehow reminded me of my first unibroues with its characteristic yeastiness and warming alcohol (I had not had a belgian style for a while). Spicy yeastiness, estery, while the round palate displays uniform and smooth carbonation, at the same time strong and engaging. A superior Inbev offering.

Bottle: malty, fruity, nice hoppy bitterness, caramel, faint roasted notes as it warms, also some vanila notes, the alcohol is a bit noticable, quite simple but a nice beer, the best beer from the leffe range.

Clear brown look with a nice foamy white head. Aroma of peach esters and some nice alchohol notes. Definetly more fruity than the brown Leffe. Palata is very smooth and creamy. Flavor is very wellbalanced, with a warming alchohol finish. Broad flavor

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2007 Bottle @ Caffe Ke, Madrid. Pours a gorgeous, creamy red with a nice, laced head. Aroma is largely spicy, I detected notes of cinnamon, coriander, and a slight bit of nutmeg. Taste is smooth and creamy with spicy and fruity notes included as well. A wonderful, wonderful Leffe offering.

Bottle. This version is 8.2% ABV. Red beer with a medium stable beige head. Sweet aroma of malt, fruits and spices (mostly cinnamon). Flavor is sweet with malt, caramel, some spices, and some fruitiness. A bit of bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Beautiful redbrown beer with huge long lasting white head. Aroma dominated by dried fruits dates, figs and raisins. Taste is malty sweet again with notes of dates and figs, quite alcoholic and a short finish, but otherwise a very nice beer. And sold at 40% of normal price in my local store is an extra bonus.

Poured a solid creamy head with warm aromas. A deep and well balanced brew. Excellent on a winters night. Opened up alot in the glass. Excellent.
