330ml bottle from a German supermarket. Medium tan head which dissolves quickly. Good lacing. Clear dark amber body. Aroma is sharp to the nose. I notice mostly malt, some wooden aromas and herbs. Excellent palate, very lively in the mouth, but fades as the foam settles. Sweet on the tongue. Some alcohol taste down the throat. Easily drinkable, but not boring. This one is actually pretty good! Leffe recommends that this one is served at about 5°C, but I find that the aromas as more present at higher temperatures.
Aroma: Herbs with toasted cereal notes.
Appearance: Dark amber color with clear sparkling liquid and white frothy head.
Taste: Medium sweetness with light sour notes.
Palate: Medium body with creamy texture an average carbonation. Sweet and bitter finish and wood touches.
Overall: Nicely soft for a belgian strong ale, good memory on the mouth but with alcoholic notes. WaddlingPlatypus (186) - Durham, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2017
330ml bottle at the Black Horse, Moreton Morrell. Bright amber with a thin, slightly yellow head. Sweet sugary hay aroma, with a touch of crisp bacon and banana. Flavour is similar to the aroma, but weaker, with weak grainy haylage and a touch of tin. geolgau (211) - Cluj-Napoca, ROMANIA - APR 20, 2017
0.33 bottle. Clear amber, long lasting white head. Aroma: slightly fruity, slightly sweet maltiness, but just a hint. Has some of that belgian characteristic, that sweet, spicy, fruity grain. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. Taste is sweet and spicy, coupled with a hint of bitterness. Flavors: candy, dried sweet fruits, caramel. Not exactly my cup of tea, but works okay. bobroman (1166) - Torun, POLAND - APR 9, 2017
Tasted on 22.09.16. Very pleasant sweet aroma of red fruits with addition of caramel maltiness. Medium and durable off-white head disappearing to solid layer. Clear amber colour. Very pleasant taste of malty sweetness, red fruits, spices and a bit of alcohol but very well hidden. joe19612 (2900) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2017

-low to medium carbonation visible
-slight alcohol noticeable
Very different from Leffe’s other Beers.
It almost reminded me of a franconian Lager at times.
A good, somewhat unique Belgian Dark Ale limbonicartbeer (92) - - FEB 7, 2017
