2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
orange color, aroma of sweet malt, orange, slight spice, flavors of sweet caned fruits, some spices, med body, to sweet for me
Yeast, oranges and pepper in the aroma -- nice depth. Pours to a cloudy, brownish yellow with a minimal head and lacing. Sweet taste with a sweetly dry (nice trick) finish. Enjoying the high ABV buzz along with shrimp and rice for dinner. Chadhami (194) - - DEC 30, 2017
Smooth considering the alcohol content, few sips in and already feelin it, should be a good dinner. BuckeyeBoy (8853) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 26, 2017
22 oz bottle pours out a brownish orange color topped with a sand head. Nose is toast malts candy sweetness a little bit of brown sugar and some spice. Taste is more of the sweet malts spice a little bit of Belgian influence. PugUglyBrewer (838) - - JUL 28, 2017
Glinting golden amber color with a thin head of offwhite head of soapy foam. Concentrated caramel malt backbone with some sweet plum. A bit oily slick on the mouthfeel. A tad medicinal in its delivery. Overall a surprising good Tripel that hides its ABV well. CaskSensei74 (1) - long beach, California, USA - MAY 29, 2017 does not count

Worst beer I’ve had in a long time. Absolutely disgusting. I mean it makes PBR taste good. I just about puked when I tried it and that is no exaggeration. Belgian style tripel, funny joke.
A great tripel is like a flavor/texture starburst; this one is like a stomp through a swamp. First of all, it looks scary: it’s murky, brown, sewage-like, without enough carbonation to at least lend it a transcendent bit of zest. On the palate an initial inviting citrusy element quickly succumbs to outright bitterness. An earthy, vegetal bitterness that overwhelms. I’ve had quite a few bland/dull tripels - - it’s a tough style to excel in. This one is not bland/dull - - it’s an unbalanced murky mess. Maybe it was on the shelf at the Total Wine in Vegas for a couple years - - I can only hope that’s the problem - - because this borders on undrinkable. beer-yum (1950) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 20, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2016 Restrained funky aroma in a golden amber pour. Huge malt body belies the style - but is eminently drinkable. Way too strong to enjoy as many as one would want though.
