Black, with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and herbal hops. Also on flavour the herbal hoppiness and the unripe coffee berries (they’re not beans) overwhelming the caramel and any touch of chocolate it could have had. A bit salty, it is just too herbal and metallic to feel like a good Baltic Porter. Not my favourite. SDalkoholic (2395) - Linda Vista, California, USA - JUN 25, 2013
On tap @ Left Coast Brewing tap room: Poured d dark blackish colored brown with no formation of head other than a thin O-ring shape. The aroma is subtle yet has an obvious smell of roast dark malts but overall the smell is very subdued and tame. The drink is semi-sweet with a rich roasty profile of malts that give off a taste of coffee bean. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Very good porter from Left Coast, dark, robust, hints of coffee, overall very satisfied with this. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 27, 2013
Black in color with a dense khaki head. Strong roasted malt aroma, dark fruit, cocoa powder, and some earthy hops. Light coffee, some toffee sweetness, and chalk. Somewhat acidic flavor. Quite roasty, some dark fruit, coffee, and dark chocolate. Earthy hops, mild toffee sweetness, and a fairly bitter and chalky finish.
