This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy golden burnt orange color with a slim finger’s worth of a white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a decent sporadic yet spider web lacing.
The smell had a nice balance of citrus sweet hops, light bitter, slight tart and having a decent yeasty / breadiness.
The taste was mainly sweet with the nice bready / yeasty coming back to balance in a really nice way. The citrus seemed fairly subdued but was there in a decent balanced sort of way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. There’s a citrusy aftertaste leading into a nice crisp citrus finish.
Overall, what a wonderful saison that I know I would have again. beer-yum (1782) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 2, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2014 Somewhat subdued aroma precedes an over the top full on fruity taste that recedes surprisingly quickly. I love it to be honest.

Decent saison, nothing crazy, enjoy left coast brewery normally, bomber thanks to eric GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 31, 2013
651mL thanks to Eric! Clear golden, weak foam. Nose is medicinal, big esters, black pepper, overripe pear. Taste is medicinal, long cough syrup bitter stickiness, prescription medication. Sticky, way to estery. Mega apple and pear. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 24, 2013
On tap @ Left Coast. Golden pour with a light haze and white head. Spicy clove and pepper aromas up front. Notes of coriander, banana, and sweet bread and apple. A touch of booze and lemon peel. Flavor is sweet and spicy. Big fruit esters: banana, apple, and pear. Light lemon peel, some pepper, and coriander. Decent amount of bready malt, a touch of cotton candy, and some booze on the finish.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of wheat, oranges and yeast. The flavor is wheat, grain, yeast and pepper. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Steverus0 (263) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Nice and clean, but with plenty of character, this summer Saison is a wonderful beer

a touch of hay, grains of paradise, cardamom, oranges. Full bodied, moderately dry, but nit funky or dry enough. Saison on training wheels. Just not a style most American brewers can do well. House3000 (4) - - DEC 10, 2012 does not count
Mixture of faint sourness and floral tastes makes for an interesting combination. Pours dark amber, small white foam, leaves more of a bitter finish that fades soon. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - SEP 9, 2012
spicy slightly sour grainy reddsih brew. Nice representation. The yeast gives the palate a fruity spicy ester but small amounts well balanced with banana. Overall really nice.
