Amber color, medium head. The hoppy aroma is excellent, perfumy, fruity and resiny. The body has a medium structure, the mouthfeel lingers between the dry side and the sweet; good toffee flavor, with a sweet nut edge and pleasant spicy touch (black pepper); strong hopping, partially resiny and lightly fruity. The final is hoppy and it shows a sharp pepper character too. Solid.

Amber color, shining; small head. It has a very nice hop aroma, fruity and resiny. Solid body, with very good, sweet, round caramel and toffee flavor; very strong hopping, scraping the tongue, but leaving behind good piney resins and more orange fruitness than most beers; for what is worth, it can also fall in the category of American Strong Ales for its sweet caramel and toffee flavor. Powerful and excellent.
11/6/5/7/12/6

On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe for Hopfest, pours a golden orange with a white head. Aroma of resinous hops, sweet caramel and some candied sugar. Flavour is very buttery with piney hops - not much else. Lots of depth to the hops in this one. Extremely enjoyable. chrisv10 (17422) - DENMARK - JUL 17, 2011
Bottle. Slightly hazy golden/amber with big off-white head. Flavour is malt, hops, citrus, pine, little caramel, bitter, fruit, floral and a little grass. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2011
Bottle, 22oz. A slightly unclear beer, dark orange beer with a small, off-white head. Fruity nose with loads of pine cones, lemon peel and resins. A bit sugary maybe. Malty sweet base that should be more evident. Resins, fruits, lemon peel and fruityness too. Full-bodied and nicely bitter. Lasting finish. A wonderful beer, but it’s sort of one-tracked. Too warming too I think. But it’s nice and repeatable. 110301 brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 28, 2013
Orange pour with a white head. Sweet tropical fruit and caramel malt up front. Nice grapefruit, some pine, and a touch of peach. Lightly floral, too. Somewhat sweet flavor, but plenty of hops. Good grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and pine. Light to moderate bitterness, some floral hops, and caramel. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2009
Bottle @ J.C.G. Pours unclear orange with a creamy lasting white head and lacings. Freshly hopped nose. Pine, orange and a bit of buiscuit. Smooth and sticky palate. Taste is very hoppy, spruce, juice and pine. Lasting bitterness. A bit boozy. Nice.
