Pours from 12oz bottle a brilliantly clear gold with copper core and off white head.
Aroma of pungent, rank, grassy and herbal hops with a bit more resin in the bunch, and a touch of tropical fruitage- very pleasant smelling indeed. Flavours are nice and fresh—hoppy, but really fruity, and with a nice sweet maltiness. A brief, juicy finish like tangy oranges, with a bit of mango or passion fruit. Overall, a really solid IPA. Nothing too complicated, but a nice malt backing to balance the rounded bitterness. Nice beer. ChainGangGuy (4920) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 13, 2014

Appearance: Pours a clear, orange-golden body with a sudsy, off-white head that settles to a thin, frothy cap.
Smell: Atop the lightly bready, biscuity, sweet-accented malts are the hops, presenting scents of pithy grapefruit, glistening lemon rind, sun-dried grasses, sharp fresh herbs with a resinous undercurrent.
Taste: A bit bready, a bit biscuity with a light initial sweetness eventually made diminutive by the growing, accumulating hop bitterness. Citric, fruity flavors of lemon, grapefruit. Wet herbs, dried grasses. Lightly earthy, resiny. Medium-plus bitterness. Soft finish with a lingering, lightly stinging, lightly astringent pine, grassy element.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Minutely oily on the tongue.
Overall: It does have its superiors, but Trestles has all the necessary pieces to make it a worthy, likable India Pale Ale.
Bottle at home. Pours a clear orange with little to no head. Aroma is strongly tangerine with some pine resin. Flavor follows with slight maltiness. Really nice IPA.

Poured from a 12oz bottle with no bottle date
Aroma - Orangey smell - perhaps due to the age of the bottle?
Appearance - Hazy Orange - I can see some particles from floating around.
Taste - The orangey taste doesn’t carry thru with the taste. Malty and with a bit of bittering.
Palate - Think feeling, not too smooth going down.
Overall - This is another Left Coast beer that is a real "meh" for me. I don’t know if I get them too old, or if I just don’t like how they brew them.

Starts off slightly off taste, gets better as it warms. Average IPA. Good bit probably not one I would seek out again.

bottle. clear pale orange with a small head. big strawberry aroma several feet from the glass. a closer inspection has notes of citrus and berries. extremely clean and dry. light bodied. flavors are crackery base malt, a small pinch of light to medium color crystal malt and this awesome berry-like blend of hops. one of the best ipa’s i’ve had. superspak (5894) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - AUG 5, 2014
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of citrus rind/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel/rind, pine, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good complexity and balance of bright hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering. rondphoto (4491) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUL 31, 2014
bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear medium amber, full head cover, full mottled sheet of lace. Taste is dry malt and bitter floral hops that move in tandem through the palate to a finish that gradually becomes lighter, becoming a little like unsweetened tea, finally leaving a cleansing bitter that rouses the appetite. Very original, well thought out, balanced. A solid brew. AndyW68 (1593) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 29, 2014
Light hazy orange with off white head. Aroma is sweet citrus. Taste is sweet citrus immediately followed with bitter rind. Then mellows. Nice.
