bottle. clear pale orange with a small head. big strawberry aroma several feet from the glass. a closer inspection has notes of citrus and berries. extremely clean and dry. light bodied. flavors are crackery base malt, a small pinch of light to medium color crystal malt and this awesome berry-like blend of hops. one of the best ipa’s i’ve had. superspak (6232) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - AUG 5, 2014
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of citrus rind/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel/rind, pine, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good complexity and balance of bright hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering. rondphoto (4517) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUL 31, 2014
bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear medium amber, full head cover, full mottled sheet of lace. Taste is dry malt and bitter floral hops that move in tandem through the palate to a finish that gradually becomes lighter, becoming a little like unsweetened tea, finally leaving a cleansing bitter that rouses the appetite. Very original, well thought out, balanced. A solid brew. AndyW68 (1641) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 29, 2014
Light hazy orange with off white head. Aroma is sweet citrus. Taste is sweet citrus immediately followed with bitter rind. Then mellows. Nice. solidfunk (9739) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Fairly uneventful triple. The India pale lager by green flash I just had was far superior. Some citrus and light astringency. Pours orange with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Lots of malt. Bottle from grape and gourmet.

Aroma of sour dough, and malt with a hint of citrus. Cooper colored, with virtually no head. Taste of malt, trace of dried fruit with a bitter finish. Oily feel with a bitter malty palate. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2014
Poured a clear copper color with aromas of caramel, grapefruit, bread and some light malt. Flavors follow suit, malt and grapefruit with bitter aftertaste. omega (899) - NEW ZEALAND - JUL 24, 2014
Nice little drinker this one. Pours clean with a copper liquid gold colour. On the palate a nice citrusy style with a sweetness that makes the medicine go down. PorterPounder (8364) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 12, 2014
Tallahassee, Fl. - on tap at Proof. Dark copper pour, light but sticjy off white head. Aroma has that patented cat piss aroma that is oddly appealing. Juicy, succulent flavor with solid grapefruit citrus bitterness, some apricot fruitiness, light maple syrup maltiness to balance it out. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness to it. Very solid IPA. rbrazell (1763) - Florida, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Bottle from CBX. Deep golden pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is very similar to their double IPA with the grapefruit and bready caramel malt vibe going on. Flavor as well, but more crisper and clean. Although CBX got these bottles in recently it seems like the hoppy stuff might be a little dated or it's just me.
