BOTTLE. Pours black as oil with minimal cream head. Nose is dark malts and small amount of coffee. Coffee & malt up front rolling into a heavier malt finish with the coffee fading to more of a vegemite flavour.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a frothy light tan head with some broken lace. The aroma is light sweet caramel malt with a little smoke. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a smooth, rich chewy roasted malt, light hop, light smoky liqorice bitter palate. Moderate to full bodied with soft carbonation. Decent oatmeal stout. Very light in flavor and easy to drink. Milky flavor with a slight roasted malt finish smells of coffee and milk. Pours black women th a tan head. Had at lady Gregory.

Aroma: The nose is roasted malt forward, some light smoke, wood notes, and a bit of tobacco
Appearance: Pours a dark brown-black color with a foamy light brown head and drippy lace
Flavor: The flavor is dry and roasted malts, light smoke/tobacco, and a mid-bitter close
Palate: The body is medium-full, not overly heavy, with a soft carbonation, and a fairly dry finish
This is actually a quite enjoyable, dry, and fairly easy drinking example of the style. There’s a lack of sweetness that works nicely here. Dry and enjoyable.
Black. Very heavy roasted, but surprisingly smooth and the roasted, almost burnt malt flavors are not overpowering notes of coffee and chocolate. Good palate, and some sugar.

Bottle->snifter. Black with lite tan head. A: molasses, sweet malt, chocolate, anise. T: roasted malt, coffee grounds, hints of anise. Lingering burnt coffee aftertaste. OK. Shark_Pants (763) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 31, 2015
Impenetrable dark with ruby highlights and small beige head. Strong cocoa aroma with hazelnut, some roasted coffee beans and vanilla. The taste has treacle, licorice, heaps of dark chocolate, hazelnut, only a little coffee and charcoal in the finish. Sweet upfront and dry finish. Medium bodied but slick and oily. Very good, particularly as a dessert beer. Beerhunter111 (21786) - P´Castle, GERMANY - JAN 24, 2015
Sehr dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit einer geringen braunen Schaumkrone. Geruch stark nach Kaffee, Vanille, verbrannte Erde. Geschmack sehr schokoladig, sehr viel Vanille, Kaffee, klasse! Johnsense (1711) - - JAN 19, 2015
Black pour, a baby fingerof head. Milk chocolate, dark coffee, and roasted malt aroma. Taste is far sweeter than the aroma? Rich chocolate and malted milk, sponge toffee sweetness. Lighter coffee and roasted notes than the aroma would suggest. Thick body, creamy finish. Lizardking3 (192) - Springfield, Oregon, USA - JAN 16, 2015
Pours black with very small tan head. Aroma is mostly sweet and malty, not as much roasty quality as I like. Taste matches with lots of molasses and chocolate. Good but not the best
