COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2017 Festival of South Asia, Lolly Mango Lassi IPA is brewed with mango, lactose sugar, cardamom and bright, citrus-forward hops. It blends the sweet, creamy, fruity and lightly spiced flavours of a traditional Mango Lassi with the hop-forward balance of an American Style IPA.

(bottle) cloudy yellow colour with a small white head; aroma of mangojuice, other tropical fruit; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; very nice

Really hazy, milky peach color with off-white head. Aroma has unripe fruits like apples and pears with light mint notes. Taste has sweet fruit notes, mostly citrusy, like sweet lemon and lime. Medium bitterness on the finish. Medium body with soft carbonation and some astringent mango notes on the finish. Really nice one and easy drinking in spite of the burn.

On tap at the Wickson Social. Pours a murky dull peach colour with moderate-sized white head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is ‎mango, cardamon and citrusy hops with a little graininess. Flavour has more cardamon presence than I might have hoped for with mango also very apparent and the citrusy hops more playing second fiddle. Bit of bitterness and a light spicy heat in the finish. Interesting but not sure the combination of flavours totally worked for me.

Super juicy. Looks and tastes like a mango orange smoothie. Smells just as good. Delicious.

Draft at the source. Murky orange yellow color. Mango aroma. Bittersweet mango citrus light pine taste. Works for me

bottle. Hazy golden colour. Strange beer; mango and cardamom are both front and center, definitely on the sweeter side but the hops make enough appearance to balance this out. Interesting.

Draft at the festival. Hazy yellow body, almost opaque. Almost no head, but it’s white. The aroma has mango, cinnamon, citrus. Very acidic. The taste is strong of cardamom and the finish has both cardamom and mango. Very bitter finish. Slightly too much cardamom, it’s like a ginger bread cookie. Could be a bit thicker as well.

Bottle from brewery. You can tell things are playful just by looking at the fluorescent colour in the bottle. Pours an unreal yellow in the glass, with a rich one finger cap that vanishes quickly. Sweet mango & rich hop bitterness. Finish is spicy & salty. Interesting & enjoyable but ultimately tiring drinking the entire bottle to one’s self (as one tends to do). Would love to see how other people respond to this festival one-off but most drinkers around here use Untappd over In Bev Ratebeer Inc.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 A novelty IPA with smooth mango and a standup hop and cardamon finish. Spiked punch more than a beer taste, a fuller version of their session day game fruit versions. Should be good with a spicy meal.
