On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear very deep amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a rich smokey note that even imparts a bit of bacon with a sweet dark grains. Flavor starts with the same bacon smoke note with a bit of underlying dark gains and a hint of roast. Draft. Poured clear brown with an average frothy tan head that was mostly lasting with very good lacing. Moderate smoke malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Clear red orange amber color. Minimal off-white head. Dots and ropes of lace. Bigger body, kind of slick. Crisp, lighter carbonation. Good big meaty smokey aroma, more meaty than your typical smoked ale, I think. Dry rub meat, ooh yeah. Moderate bigger bitter and a savory taste. Some dark fruit, some fruity tropical hop. Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Looks good for the style; a transparent dark copper with thin off-white head. Smells of SMOKE first and malt second. Tastes like it smells with a touch of oxidization. Average on the palate. A solid example of the style.

Aroma: The nose of this one had lots of sweet malts, smoky notes, wood, and a bit of earth
Appearance: It pours a clear reddish color with a small beige head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is more smoky than nose, but otherwise, the components are very similar
Palate: It has a medium body, a pretty solid mouthfeel, and a dry, smoky finish on the mouth
This one was more on the smoke malt side of the style than the bacon side of the style. Overall, I found this one to be quite enjoyable.

On tap. Comes amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of smoke, smoke, and caramel. Taste is smoked meats, caramel, and malt. A bit odd, not my style I guess.
