On tap. Comes reddish brown with a small biege head. Aroma of malt, fruit, and caramel. Taste is similar with a bit of smoke. Decent enough. onceblind (10891) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Hazy amberish copper, very thin head. The nose is belgianesque and dark fruity with a plum/date ester. The taste is a bit dry for my taste, but has a earthy caramel and dusty raisin tone about it. Hard to explain. Not a fan. b3shine (9271) - Indiana, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Draft to taster. Looks good; a transparent amberish copper with thin foamy off-white head. Smells solid; malty with notes of caramelized sugar. Tastes like it smells, only a little sweet(er). Average on the palate. Decent beer. Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Sample at Hoppin’ Frog. The beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a thin foamy white head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of smoked malt and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, Fruity Pebbles and coffee. The finish is sweet with a sugary cereal malt aftertaste. Average overall. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Draft. From notes. Fruits with a decent caramel backbone. I’m really starting to dig the Alt style.

Draft at hops and pie. Pours brown with an inch of khaki foam. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Dry and sharp on the tongue with a bit of sweetness peeking through. Lingers a bit. Solid. Concealer (1279) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Tap. Clear dark amber with an off white head. Aroma is raisins, toasted malt, and light fruit. Flavor is caramel, fruit, and buscuit. Medium bodied. cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2013
On tap at Oasis, pours a clear light brown with a really thin head, the aroma is sweet with some caramel and a little bit of fruit coming through, the flavor is much of the same with some bread and sugar in the finish, a little bit of fruit mixes in which breaks up the one note of sweetness. blipp (9929) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Growler. Pours amber with a thin head. Malty, toasted bread, and some light sweetness. Very faint hoppy notes and just a hint of booze. Not bad. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a hazed amber brown with a thin white head. Soft chocolate, cocoa, a bit of malt. Soft acid, wooden, tartness. Tart wood into nutty bitterness, funky malt, long bitterness.
