Draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy dark copper color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, raisin, brown sugar. The taste is toffee, brown sugar, treacle, bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. Nice! JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - AUG 17, 2013

Draft. From notes. Fruits with a decent caramel backbone. I’m really starting to dig the Alt style. Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - OCT 11, 2014

Draft at Jerry’s. Dark mahogany with frothy, tan head, decent lacing / Mellow nose of brown sugar, roast grain, dark fruit, rye bread / Medium body, a touch thin, malty with some chew, sweet but some good hop balance and astringency, and bitter finish / Flavors of roast coffee, spun sugar, roast barley, date / Doesn’t quite come together, needing just a little bigger body, a little more fruit, but still interesting.

Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a hazed amber brown with a thin white head. Soft chocolate, cocoa, a bit of malt. Soft acid, wooden, tartness. Tart wood into nutty bitterness, funky malt, long bitterness. nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Tap at Oasis. Burgundy amber-brown body. Not much of a head. Bigger, maltier than a typical Alt, think Sticke Alt. OK.
