Not really like a porter i’m used to. Usually they are strong dark flavored. But this one is the first one you can actually see through. It’s more like a hazy amber beer then a porter. This comes back in the taste. It’s very easy going, light and almost refreshing. Not the big flavor profile like most other porters, but it does taste nice. It’s very caramel based. Not much bitter like most porters are (coffee) but well balanced and tasteful.
Dark brown-reddish with a thin head and a dark roast coffee, dark chocolate nose. Light entry with a mild mouthfeel and a bittersweet, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee finish. Hanuta06 (495) - Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2017
Serving: from bottle purchased at The Beer Junction.
Aroma: light vanilla.
Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown initial head with fair lace and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-amber body.
Taste: lightly sweet, chocolate initial flavor and lightly sweet, roasty finish with average duration.
Palate: medium body with watery texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: average porter. Bierridder_S (1153) - BELGIUM - OCT 25, 2017

Black colour, small head. Soft roast, caramel, chocolate, some hops, bitter higgsbison (275) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2017
A bit thin, not a lot of character, a dry finish. Not bad but plenty of other better porters out there. I expected more of it after sampling left hand's milk stout

Originally rated on 12/17/08. Aroma of coffee, some chocolate, smoke and burnt malts. Black body with plenty of carbonation, leaving some lace. Mouthfeel was a little watery, with a slight carbonation bite. Flavors of burnt malts, and very slight hints of chocolate and coffee. Overall a fairly average porter. ehaak26 (751) - - APR 22, 2017

Bottle. Aroma has notes of chocolate and coffee. Pours ruby dark no head. Taste has a slightly smoked quality with clear coffee malt savour.
A rich dark Porter that commands respect especially from those of us who are left handed. gripweed57 (2974) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 12, 2017
From old tasting notes. Ruby red, brown color. Foamy tan head. Robust roasted malt nose. Sweet roasted malt flavor is both spicy and earthy. Wonderfully complex and flavorful with hints of chocolate, coffee, black pepper and nutmeg. Delicious and a well made Porter., LazyPyro (1802) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2017
355ml bottle. Pours a very dark clear brown colour with a thin beige head, no real lacing and short retention. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasted malt. Taste is exactly like the aroma, the malts are sweet and there’s a very mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth, medium body.
