COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional London style beer, our Black Jack Porter highlights chocolate malt and Kent Goldings hops. Its slight initial sweetness quickly yields to the distinctive roastiness of the chocolate malt. The Kent Goldings hops perfectly balance the malt, making it very smooth, with a surprisingly clean finish.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, dark fruit, spice. Tastes bitter and roasty with some nice earthiness, chocolate, lightly spicy. Full bodied mouthfeel. Amazing beer.

Black with big, foamy beige head / Big, smokey, roasty, chocolate and tobacco nose / Medium to full body, rich roast malts, touch of sweetness, and with some creamy hops on the long finish / Flavors of nuts, bittersweet chocolate, roast coffee, tobacco, and licorice / Outstanding - would stand up to many stouts.

A subtle aroma with a fantastic taste. Great color with no bite. One if the best porters around by far.

A delicious porter, very dark, with a medium head. The caramelized malt aroma and taste are the distinguishing factors. The malt overpowers the hops, which I like. Excellent porter taste.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Nearly perfect. Smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish.

The aroma was filled with the smell of freshly brewed java. It poured with a medium head and a deep, dark body. The taste was pleasant, unique--almost a sweet, cola taste with hints of coffee.

12 oz. bottle. Heavy dark pour. Little to no head. Mild carbonation. Delicious chocolaty coffee flavors. Malty, creamy. Not overpowering like some porters. Just a hint of hops to balance it out. Wish I had more than one.

Excellent coffee, roasted porter, that isn’t too heavy but has a good apv. I would place this at the top of the Left Hand collection.

Excellent. The look of the bottle didn’t give me the impression of this beer being so good. Malty, smooth, and beautiful to gaze upon. Especially in a drunken state.
