Dark brown color, small brownish head. Woody, toasted aroma. Medium-bodied. Woody hoppyness, some bitterness, coffee roasted flavors, some licorce. Quite plain Black IPA, I like this less than the ratings here.
Bottle @ Y.N.W.A, Beershop. Pours black with a small creamy head. Nose is roast, citrus hops, caramel and coffee. Ashes and liquorice. Smooth and full bodied. Nice. bhensonb (15745) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 3, 2013
Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a 3 finger creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma of mild citrus and darkly roasted malt. Near full bodied. Flavor is almost minty chocolate - must be the "powerful Italian" stuff. It is more dry than not, and it is bitter. It is a pleasant departure from the norm. djd07 (15543) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 16, 2015
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is faint smoke and roast. Thin mouth with strong hop bite and citrus with a lingering bitter finish, good.
