Pours deep black with a small head. Aroma has strong roasted malts and some coffee. Taste is smooth roasty, slight sweet with some coffee notes. Pepper is slight noticeable in the finish.
Muy oscura, negra rojiza. Sin espuma. Mucho aroma, cacao y ahumada. Textura cremosa y suave. Potente sabor inicial que mezcla frutos secos y mucho chocolate. Pero pronto, alucinante. Pica!! Y mucho. Fuerte picor de cayena detras del paladar. Lo cual es sorprendente, y por su duracion, prolonga tambien el sabor de la cerveza. Especial. Merece probarse. tmrmwel (2275) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Old rating. Pours dark, with a slight red hue, and a small head. Aroma is smoked malts, with tobacco and coffee, as well as chocolate and liquorice. Full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet malts, with coffee, syrup and liquorice, as well as very present notes of strong spices and chili. Maybe too strong, and indeed lingering throughout the finish. alexsdad06 (10812) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 4, 2015

12oz bottle. Poured a black color with a small sized off white head. Roast, chocolate, caramel, and maybe a trace of peppers Sissio (1751) - Orsenigo, ITALY - NOV 9, 2014
Clear dark brown, almost no head. Char, nuts, roasted chestnuts, licorice, a hint of smokiness and pepper. The complex taste mirrors the aroma, with burnt wood and light spicy finish with pepper. Great one! Darkmagus82 (2303) - - JUN 18, 2014

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a nice black color with a very thin tan head. The head faded over a shorter period of time to give a moderate amount of lacing.
Smell – The smell was heaviest of roasted malt with some good semi-sweet chocolate aromas. Mixed within these was a light peppery-spicy aroma.
Taste – The taste starts out with some sweeter malt flavors with a good brown bread and milk chocolate base. This taste however begins to transition more toward the middle of the taste where some bitterness of dark cocoa and a light pepper flavor come to the tongue. As the taste advances further however, the pepper is not so light and really gains strength. The taste finishes huge with a black pepper tingle. This was quite heavy in pepper but fantastic for the roasted flavors. It really gave a nice balance to the malty and bready malt but yet enhanced them all the same. It was a very nice finish to the taste.
Mouthfeel – A slightly above medium body with a medium level of carbonation. The body suited the malty yet peppery flavors well with the carbonation just enough to sooth the pepper, but yet allow the malty to be fully sensed.
Overall – This was one nice intriguing and enjoyable brew to drink. I usually don’t care for really peppery beers, but this one was fantastic. If you get a chance definitely should give it a go. Beerhunter111 (22513) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2014
Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Kaffee, etwas Pfeffer. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, Kaffee, dann kommt die Schärfe des Pfeffers. hotstuff (5258) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 5, 2014
Rated on 02-13-2011 on tap at 800 Degrees in Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer has a very small head that quickly dissipates, black opaque body, and no lacing. The aroma is roasted, malt, licorice, chocolate, and a suggestion of pepper. The flavor is light pepper, roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, and has a modest dry finish. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This is a nice sipping beer with some hotness on the back of the tongue. It is not super peppery tasting and is worth trying.
