COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

Frisch vom Hahn im Hopfenreich. Es ist wirklich gingerbetont. Ansonsten wenig aufregend.

Tap at whole Foods Bedford Deep golden bordering on amber. Huge ginger on the nose with some faint sweet bready caramel maltiness underneath. Very herbal and a bit distracting imho. Reminds me of a cough drop, not a fan.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2016 This was poured into a nonic. The appearance was a glossy to hazy burnt off orange to bent amber color. Some transparency. Light carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Filmy little bit of a white head. The smell had the spicy ginger root up front. Sly little bit of citrus hops. Nicely "carrying" sweet caramel to toffee malt backing up to rye aroma nicely. The flavor takes all of the aromas to blend at a nice pace. Rides all together on into the aftertaste and a semi-quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Fairly decent sessionability about it. Overall, as a "ginger" beer, I see nothing wrong with it. Me, I’d definitely come back to this. Great stuff

Draught at DC Gotanda. Very light ginger notes, minimal sweet malt base, fairly watery on the palate... Unnecessary import really...

Bottle. Pours a beautiful looking translucent bronze color with a small white head that soon fades to a fine ring. The aroma features dried ginger, as opposed to fresh ginger, and there is a touch of musty earthiness. The taste featured the same dried ginger as detected in the nose, and there is a touch of cooked vegetables. The malt base was thin and weak, The finish short and dry. Overall: meh

Draft at Bru Craft. Clear golden orange with strawberry highlights. Soapy white foam. Not much lace. Reasonably strong ginger but not overpowering. Well balanced with medium caramel malts. Juicy but watery body. Hints of peach, lemongrass, straw and duck sauce. Not that complex but not as awful as other reviews here might suggest.

Pours a clear deep golden with little head and disappears quickly.....aroma is ginger spice, pine.......taste is perfume, ginger, falls off quickly, thin mouthfeel. Good idea, badly executed.

Pours medium amber light head. Aromas big bad ginger (Love the smell), slight maltiness behind it , not much else. Flavors are kinda weird, as the ginger is mingled with grass/hay, and comes off as a spicy herbal. Lightly sweet bland finish. Watery feel. I little herbal bitter aftertaste.

12 oz bottle with a 15 Oct. 2016 BB date on the neck. Look Clear orange-copper body with a small, short-lived head and minimal lacing.. Aroma: A nice mix of bready malts and ginger (of course). Flavor mildly bitter; moderately strong ginger comes across as being of a good strength although it does dominated the malts. Feel: Lighter side of medium with lightly prickly carbonation. Overall: Like pale beers and ginger ale? .. does a ginger malt beverage sound appealing? If so, you’re likely to like this. I did and found it quite refreshing on a warm day.
