COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a brownish amber with almost no head and no lacing. The aroma is ginger. The taste is ginger, bread, and a little salty. It’s thin, carbonated, and a little bland. I wouldn’t get this again.

Erfrischend. Geruch ganz klar Ingwer. Etikett der Flasche 8/10. Ansonsten luftig, leicht und ein wenig anders. Aber leider nicht atemberaubend. Leicht wässrig im Nachtrunk. Abgelaufene Flasche für 1,50 Euro aus dem Craft Beer Store HH.

Keg @ Brewdog, Birmingham. Pours hazy orange, thin foam head. Aroma is Jamaican Ginger Cake, taste continues. For the record, I love Jamaican Ginger Cake. Ergo, I love this beer.

I hope you like ginger? And flat beers? Aroma of ginger (hmm?). Taste is sweet malts with ginger that grows more and more in the aftertaste. My bottle was also almost flat, dunno if that’s how it’s supposed to be?

Finhead (1742) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - OCT 19, 2015
Clear, golden pour with a small, white head. The aroma has light cereal grains. It has a light, thin body with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a semi-dry finish.
