Draft at The Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL. dispensed to a snifter displaying a black/brown hue, a cascading show that resulted in a silky, inch layer of froth, with wavy, curtain-like, ultra persistent cling to the lacing. The nose was dominated by rich & roasted espresso notes, with touches of cocoa, and malt sweetness. The taste was somewhat similar, but much less expressive, including modest roasted & earthy bitterness, and nitro effervescence that was probably good for the first couple sips before it diminished to nil. Less than medium bodied, the texture thinned, and showed some watery nature. Quite drinkable, but that might even become tedious without any fizz. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 28, 2017
bottle, rated around Jan 2017 - Near black pour with a thick, tan, nitro head. It smells of roast malt, coffee, and chocolate. The assertive flavor is similar. It's also well balanced and smooth, an enjoyable brew. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 28, 2017
bottle. near black with nitro head. chocolate malt with plenty of coffee. smooth, but thin. it's pretty good, but i'm not sure they're doing themselves any favors by putting this stuff on nitro. chrisv10 (18829) - DENMARK - SEP 19, 2017

Bottle picked up locally from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, earthy bitterness, good mouthfeel, good beer. Niko100 (3014) - Chicago, New York, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Dark brown/black color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, rich coffee, cocoa, & some vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, caramel, coffee, milk chocolate, and cocoa; Finish is slightly bitter; Not the biggest nitro fan - but this was pretty decent. On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bakers cocoa and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt and bakers cocoa with a smooth dry lingering coffee finish. thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 27, 2017
This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was black malt coffee and dark malt. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of black malt roasted malt coffee and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
