Pours a somewhat light black with thin tan-colored head. The aroma is strange of malt and honey with hints of nutmeg. Flavor is definitely a creamy stout, almost as if it were watered down with milk. Hints of coffee at the end of each sip. Body is creamy with a fizzy carbonation. jhliesen (836) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Bottle-Pours black with no noticeable head. The aroma was roasted malts and coffee with a background of milk. Ok, I know it would be better defined as lactose. The initial taste is milk and chocolate followed by coffee with a slightly hoppy finish. The mouth feel was creamy and carbonated. Petty’s TampaBeer (257) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Subtle aroma of toffee/coffee. Full flavored, a bit thin in the milk stout style. OK I guess. pjweaver (136) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Pint Glass from bottle
Light fluffy head, beige in color. Dark espresso color with a nose of chocolate milk, coffee, and hazelnut. Creamy and sweet on the tongue, with a clingy smooth mouth feel. Strong cappuccino aftertaste. dwyerpg (6494) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 2, 2009
Had this stout tons of times. Can’t believe I haven’t rate it yet. It’s a little creamy, has some heft to it. Certainly known as their flagship, I believe, but nothing absolutely wonderful to me.

Nice sweet stout. Really dark red with a beige head. Smells roasty with some sweet chocolate. Tastes sweet but not too sweet with nice chocolate lightness. Really tasty. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 26, 2008
A 0.355 L bottle. Mild chocolate in the nose. Pale brown head. Dark reddish brown colour. Soft taste with hints of coffee and chocolate. At the end mild hoppiness. Soft and malty. RasterMaster (258) - , Oklahoma, USA - DEC 25, 2008
Dark brown pour into thick, creamy tan head that slowly dissipates into lingering lacings. Carbonated bubbles rise up from the bottom of the glass into a creamy malty pool that hangs around after each drink. Aroma of dark roasted malts, coffee, and sweet chocolate. Initial flavor of sweet chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Full-bodied finish of roasted malts fading into hoppy bitterness with a lingering creamy mouthfeel. Bottle. Pours a black body with a creamy white head. Sweet lactose aroma, milk sugars, maltose, lactose, and caramel. Sweet and simple. GAManiac (1946) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 21, 2008
Pours a clear dark brown with mahogany hints coming through the edges. The head is small and lingers as a ring leaving no lacing.
The aroma is very sweet with chocolate and hints of lactose. There are subtle roasted dark malt whiffs in the background to balance the sweetness.
The taste also starts with the big milky, chocolaty sweetness which dominates the dark malt base. The finish has a slight hop bitterness that lasts through the finish.
The mouthfeel is good, if not slighly thin for the style. Its creamy with lots of carbonation and goes down easy.
This is a very sessionable stout that is only held back on drinkability by the dominance of the sweetness. Still, a very good stout.
